Schneider Electric collaborates with Aviva
Control solution integrating PLC and SCADA revealed The profitability of manufacturing companies is improved through productivity, power consumption, and maintenance efficiency. To achieve this, the entire operation system must be integrated. Accordingly, Schneider Electric launched an integrated control and software solution in collaboration with Aviva on the 17th.

Traditionally, communication, engineering, and standardization issues have made it difficult to integrate the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) control layer with Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) monitoring systems.
The integrated control and software solution from Schneider Electric and Aviva is focused on solving this problem. The two companies have integrated control functions with supervision functions to facilitate data flow between software layers, addressing issues such as communication, engineering, and standardization.
First, in operational technology (OT), Schneider Electric's 'EcoStruxure Control Expert' 'Modicon Communication Server' has simplified the connection between control systems and monitoring functions. Users can easily use high-performance and safe control systems without being trained on newly added technologies.
Next, we have addressed the risk of duplication in the engineering part by recognizing and eliminating duplication by synchronizing control and supervisory systems. EcoStruxure Control Expert replicates configurations on the AVEVA System Platform, allowing users to build minimal PLC code. Unnecessary tags are removed, allowing users to run control systems with minimal hardware.
Finally, the EcoStruxure Hybrid Libraries provide standardized objects for the integration of connected devices. The libraries define detailed step-by-step operations within the controller and provide interfaces to software applications (Batch, Historian, Recipe) that can be programmed immediately within the software suite. In addition, customers who purchase the package are supported by Schneider Electric's diverse solution portfolio and services.
“The solution we’ve launched this time includes both Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure and Aviva’s system platform,” said Sangho Lee, General Manager of Schneider Electric’s Industry business unit. “Customers who have had difficulties integrating PLC and SCADA will be able to secure efficient maintenance, agility, and flexibility in process operations through this product.”
