Formlabs' low-cost, compact SLS-based 3D printer
Applying Nylon 12 powder, instant production of various products On the 13th, El Corporation announced that it will exclusively supply 'Fuse1', a new low-cost compact 3D printer from 3D printer company Formlabs, in Korea. The Fuse 1 is a Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printer that is scheduled to be released this month.

Fuse 1 can produce various 3D models using 'Nylon 12 Powder', a nylon material developed by Formlabs, and can be applied to various industrial fields.
In engineering, for example, it can manage the entire product development process, from the initial concept design to manufacturing a ready-to-use finished product.
Additionally, the manufacturing sector can produce a wide range of custom products or replacement parts, including custom automotive or motorcycle parts, marine equipment, etc.
In the medical field, it can manufacture everything from medical device prototypes to ready-to-use, patient-specific medical devices such as prosthetics, orthopedic hand/foot correctors, surgical models and instruments.
Developed as a material for use in Fuse 1, Nylon 12 Powder combines strength, flexibility, and detail to satisfy performance requirements for both complex functional prototypes and final products.
In addition, Fuse1 recycles powder, allowing for an efficient and economical workflow. It automatically sprays and mixes used powder with new powder, reducing waste. According to Formlabs, up to 70% of the powder can be recycled.
The size of Fuse 1 is 685×645×1065mm, and the production size is 165×165×300mm.
