NS participated in the Busan International Machinery Fair and presented a differentiated smart factory solution.

NS participated in the 10th Busan International Machine Tool Show (BUTECH 2021) held at BEXCO in Busan from May 26 to 29.

At this exhibition, NSS introduced its smart factory solution.

A smart factory is a factory where sensors are installed in the facilities and machines within the factory, data is collected and analyzed in real time, all situations within the factory are clearly visible, and the factory is controlled on its own according to the purpose based on the analysis.

NS also supplies hardware such as actuators for direct factory construction along with system software for building such factories.

In particular, we are responsible for designing smart factory systems so that system software and hardware can be optimized.

The warehouse management system (WMS) presented at this exhibition is a system for managing product and material warehouses in accordance with the characteristics of the work at the production/manufacturing site. It is a solution that can quickly and accurately integrate real-time management of product/material receipt, warehouse shelf loading/pileup, order management, shipping order management, first-in/first-out management, and inventory status inquiry/management. Through WMS, it is possible to minimize losses, reduce inventory management costs, and efficiently process work by managing the flow of inventory within the warehouse, clearly arranging inventory, and managing accurate quantities.

In addition, MES is a system that manages all production activities from the start of product ordering to the quality inspection of finished products. It is an integrated production management system that collects, aggregates, analyzes, monitors, and controls the production process in real time various information such as production performance, worker activities, equipment operation, and product quality information of the production site, thereby establishing a high-quality, profit-oriented production system. By establishing MES, quality improvement through automatic transport and supply devices and quality tracking are possible by introducing a LOT tracking management system. In addition, facility status and real-time factory status monitoring are possible.

An NS official said, “NS’s smart factory solution can reduce downtime and unproductive periods, increase productivity, and provide accurate data on production information.” NS develops customer-oriented programs that customers want, from smart factories to equipment and device control technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), and various platforms, and provides solutions that maintain the developed solutions through system maintenance services.
