Emerson announced on the 5th that it has launched the '110cc variable speed scroll compressor' and '36kW inverter drive' solutions through its compressor design and manufacturing brand, Copeland™.

As interest in green buildings grows worldwide, our government also announced its '2050 Carbon Neutrality' plan in March. The goal is to achieve carbon neutrality by reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050 and respond to climate change.

In addition, as part of the '2050 Carbon Neutral Roadmap', it announced plans to establish sector-specific carbon reduction strategies and reduce 80% and 86% in the industrial and building sectors, respectively. Domestic companies are responding to climate change by developing eco-friendly technologies and proposing solutions. In particular, since a significant portion of carbon emissions comes from the energy production process, improving the efficiency of HVAC systems in energy-intensive commercial facilities is directly linked to reducing carbon emissions.

Emerson has introduced a solution featuring integrated compressor technology that enables OEMs to develop commercial air conditioning systems that are non-hazardous and environmentally friendly.

The Copeland 110cc variable scroll compressor and 36kW inverter drive solution reduces energy consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional fixed-speed technology. It is also compatible with environmentally friendly R32 refrigerants, enabling HVAC OEMs to comply with energy regulations and building owners to respond to the green trend of future commercial facilities without compromising performance.

The 110cc variable capacity scroll compressor provides high performance in part load and full-peak load situations, helping OEMs achieve energy efficiency standards. In addition, the tandem configuration of variable capacity and fixed speed compressors provides a solution that flexibly expands the operating range according to OEMs’ needs and finds the optimal balance between efficiency and cost reduction.
