TeamViewer held a press conference on the 15th and announced the official launch of TeamViewer Korea, stating that it will support the acceleration of digital transformation to increase the efficiency of domestic companies.
Lee Hye-young, CEO of TeamViewer Korea, said that the Korean industrial AR market is expected to grow by an average of 54.5% per year until 2025, and that demand is increasing as the government expands support for the digitalization of manufacturing sites, a key national project.
CEO Lee continued, “TeamViewer Korea plans to focus on helping with the digital transformation of core business processes and implementing a more innovative work environment, focusing on remote connection and AR solution businesses targeting the on-premise enterprise market,” adding, “We will focus on building an ecosystem with Korean partners, including channel partners and distributors.”
“The shortage of skilled workers due to aging and low birth rates is a concern for many countries and industries,” said Lee So-jung, TeamViewer Asia Pacific Regional President.uo; and pointed out the problem, saying, “About 80% of the world’s workers, or 2.7 billion people, are working in the workplace, but only 1% of the software invested in digitizing work is being invested.”
The CEO said that TeamViewer's augmented reality solution can be a solution to these problems, and that establishing a branch in Korea, where global companies are located, is part of a key strategy to solidify its position in the Asia-Pacific region.
TeamViewer has a diverse product portfolio, including remote connection support and assistance tools, managed enterprise connectivity solutions, and AR-based solutions for digitalizing industrial work processes.
Among them, Kwon Il-seon, TeamViewer Korea's sales director, demonstrated TeamViewer's enterprise industrial AR platform, 'TeamViewer Frontline.'

A demonstration using XInspect and xAssist solutions showed how to perform repairs and inspections simultaneously by sharing the view with an expert using smart glasses.
Additionally, the future of picking operations for distribution companies was showcased through the xPick solution specialized in logistics and warehousing.
The smart glasses have a voice recognition function that prevents picking errors by immediately informing workers that an incorrect quantity has been entered.
The picking accuracy of companies utilizing Frontline is up to 99% and the work speed is also It was reported that the performance has been improved by about 10% and safety has also increased through 100% hands-free operation.
TeamViewer assists with difficult tasks such as system design, and smart glasses can be easily used by anyone, said Director Kwon.
In this way, TeamViewer Frontline has solutions for order picking, assembly and quality assurance, maintenance and inspection, training, and remote support, and can be flexibly customized according to the customer.
CEO Lee So-jung emphasized the need for an emerging industrial metaverse in the manufacturing industry.
He said, “Remote connections and AR will create a new future work environment,” and “TeamViewer will provide innovative digital tools to increase productivity in industrial sites and help field workers benefit from digital transformation.”
Meanwhile, TeamViewer has sports partnerships with Manchester United of the English Premier League and the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team.
Manchester United signed a 5-year, 370 billion won contract with TeamViewer last March, the largest in the EPL, as a shirt sponsorship, and they are continuing smart collaborations such as using TeamViewer's Frontline to conduct safety checks at Old Trafford before matches.
