Next-generation quality inspection solution with precision, speed, and performance

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, a global sensor, software, and automation solutions company, officially launched its ultra-high-speed digital 3D measuring machine (CMM) ‘MAESTRO’ on the 6th.

Maestro is a cutting-edge measuring instrument designed to meet the demands of increased productivity in industrial settings, maximizing speed, precision and digital integration, setting a new standard in quality inspection.

Maestro builds on Hexagon’s long-standing metrology expertise and features a digital-centric architecture with fast measurement routines, an intuitive user experience, and seamless data integration.

It adopts a modular design and can be used in various industries such as aerospace, automobiles, and high-precision manufacturing, and features flexible expandability.

The new digital architecture features high-speed laser scanning, a single-cable system, and a dedicated controller to dramatically increase processing speeds. This enables manufacturers to optimize quality inspection, support data-driven decision-making, and improve real-time productivity in smart factory environments.

Maestro is fully integrated with the Nexus platform, enabling real-time data sharing between design, production, and quality departments. It also simplifies setup, programming, execution and reporting through high-speed measurement, automatic calibration and cloud connectivity software, and has an intuitive UI that even non-specialist personnel can easily use.

“Manufacturers need next-generation solutions that will help them improve quality standards and address the shortage of skilled workers,” said Jorg Deller, head of precision measurement equipment at Hexagon. “Maestro is not just an upgrade to an existing system; it’s a complete redesign of hardware and software that makes it easy for anyone to be productive.”

Maestro is a measurement device based on the IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), and it naturally implements inline and near-line linkage with automation systems. It is also easy to upgrade based on its modular structure, supporting continuous performance improvement even in a changing manufacturing environment.

Hexagon plans to build an end-to-end quality management system by providing various software solutions including PC-DMIS, Metrology Mentor, Metrology Asset Manager, and Metrology Reporting Nexus app with Maestro.

Maestro will be available for order from June 30th, and product specifications, demos, and pricing information can be found on Hexagon’s official website.
