Training professional talents who can be immediately applied in industrial settings through a practical curriculum
Siemens Digital Industries Korea, a leading company in global industrial automation and digitalization, is accelerating the training of practical talent based on digital twins.
Siemens Digital Industries Korea announced on the 18th that it has begun the first training session of the 'Siemens XDT Academy' as part of the 'K-Digital Training' program hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
This training aims to cultivate professional talents who can be immediately applied in industrial fields through a practical curriculum centered on digital twin technology essential in the era of digital transformation.
Siemens designed an educational curriculum that combines hardware and IT technologies based on its industrial automation and digitalization technologies.
In the basic course, you will lay the foundation for building a digital twin centered on factory automation operation technology (OT) such as PLC, HMI, and motion drive, and in the advanced course, you will learn how to implement a digital twin using advanced IT technologies such as AI, robots, and automation system linkage.
Through a curriculum that combines theory and practice, students will develop the ability to apply the concept of digital twins to actual industrial environments, and in the practical project stage, they will directly implement various digital twin projects such as autonomous driving systems for unmanned guided vehicles (AGVs), robot control systems, and logistics systems.
Through this, trainees are expected to grow into digital talents equipped with the core competencies necessary to build a smart manufacturing environment.
Tino Hildebrand, Senior Vice President and Head of Digital Industries at Siemens Korea, said, “It is very meaningful that we are able to foster practical talents that can be immediately applied in industrial settings by incorporating the global technologies and know-how that Siemens has accumulated into the curriculum,” and added, “We will continue to strive to foster specialized personnel that the industry needs.”
'Siemens XDT Academy' aims to foster digital talents who will lead the Industry 4.0 era, and graduates are expected to lead digital transformation in various industrial fields by utilizing Siemens' automation products and solutions.
