Creo, Windchill, and NVIDIA Omniverse Integration
PTC, a global industrial software company, is expanding its collaboration with NVIDIA, a global AI computing company, to accelerate next-generation product design and simulation innovation.
PTC announced on the 12th that it will integrate NVIDIA's real-time simulation platform 'NVIDIA Omniverse' with PTC's CAD software 'Creo®' and PLM solution 'Windchill®'.
This integration will enable manufacturing and product companies to more precisely and efficiently design and simulate core AI infrastructure hardware, including high-performance printed circuit boards (PCBs), advanced cooling systems, and data center equipment.
In particular, Omniverse's OpenUSD and RTX libraries applied to Windchill implement a real-time viewport, enabling users to visualize and collaborate on design data in an immersive 3D environment.
PTC also strengthened its stance on data interoperability and open standards by joining the OpenUSD Alliance (AOUSD), which is based on OpenUSD, an open 3D data standard for AI development.
This enables a digital twin-based workflow across the entire process from design to manufacturing, simultaneously improving product development speed and quality.br />
“From AI hardware to industrial equipment, today’s products are more complex and integrated than ever before,” said Neel Barua, CEO of PTC. “Through our collaboration with NVIDIA, we will enable customers to leverage design data in real-time, immersive simulation environments and enhance collaboration across the product lifecycle.”
NVIDIA has also been leveraging PTC's technology to streamline the development of high-performance PCBs and next-generation data center systems, and this integration is expected to position the Omniverse platform as a core component of product development.
“The integration of PTC’s technology will accelerate the connectivity and integration of the global AI infrastructure industry,” said Lev Levardian, vice president of NVIDIA.
