The MECA competition aims to cultivate practical technical talents who can be immediately applied in the field.
A practical education platform that has been operating in over 12 countries around the world for over 20 years.
The Grand Prize winner of the competition was the Minister of Employment and Labor Award, awarded to the Supreme team from Korea Polytechnic University's Seongnam Campus.
Mitsubishi Electric's global training program, "MECA (Mission Experience Communication Achievement)," has landed in Korea, accelerating the development of practical FA (Factory Automation) talent to lead the smart factory era.
Mitsubishi Electric held the '2025 MECA KOREA CUP' at the Gyeonggi Techno Park Digital Transformation Hub on August 7th.
This event is Korea's first MECA competition focused on digital twin-based manufacturing process design and actual equipment implementation.
Ten teams of high school and college students from across the country participated in this competition and performed smart factory tasks using cutting-edge FA equipment and software such as PLC, SERVO, Genesis64, and Gemini.
In particular, Generation Z engineers' creative ideas and ability to build real-time manufacturing lines stood out, attracting significant attention from the industrial and educational sectors.
MECA is more than just a technical competition, It is a practical education platform that has been operated in over 12 countries around the world for over 20 years.
The key is to cultivate "practical technical talent" equipped with problem-solving skills, collaboration, and system design capabilities through a hybrid curriculum that combines theory and practice.
It is also being successfully operated in Italy, Turkey, and Vietnam, and in Korea, starting with this competition, it will be expanded to include regular training, equipment support, and qualification certification programs.
