Dematic, a global supply chain automation specialist, has significantly enhanced logistics efficiency and supply chain responsiveness with its latest automation solution, a rack-supported automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) that eliminates the need for floor rails and delivers high-density storage and flexible scalability.

Dematic recently launched its latest FD Shuttle system targeting the Asia-Pacific market.

The FD shuttle system handles up to 1,000 cases per hour, supports payloads of up to 50 kg and storage heights of over 20 m.

Equipped with single, double, and triple storage configurations and the ability to handle cartons, totes, and boxes of various sizes, it is evaluated as an optimized solution for various industries such as e-commerce, electronics, pharmaceuticals/healthcare, and consumer goods.

In particular, this FD shuttle was developed and produced directly in the Asia-Pacific region, enabling agile responses to regional logistics challenges.

The lightweight design eliminates the need for existing floor rail infrastructure, reducing installation time and reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).

Dematic said this allows it to respond flexibly to complex logistics environments, such as peak season volume surges, high-volume SKU handling, and operational expansion.
