Hexagon Unveils Precision Measurement and AI Manufacturing Solutions at SIMTOS 2026

Hexagon will unveil solutions centered on precision measurement, automated inspection, and AI-based manufacturing software at SIMTOS 2026, a manufacturing technology exhibition to be held next month. The company plans to present a manufacturing environment that combines measurement and data utilization, targeting industrial sites requiring high precision and stability, such as aerospace, automotive, and wind energy.

Hexagon announced on the 26th its plans to participate in SIMTOS 2026, which will be held in Seoul from April 13 to 17. The exhibition, themed 'AI Autonomous Manufacturing Meets Talent,' serves as a platform for manufacturing companies and technology suppliers to share the latest production technologies and industry trends. Hexagon plans to showcase its key equipment and software at the Tooling and Measurement Technology Hall.

At the center of the exhibition is the ultra-high-speed digital 3D measuring machine 'Maestro'. This equipment focuses on securing both fast measurement speed and precision, and is designed for use in manufacturing processes requiring strict quality standards. The focus is on securing measurement data more quickly at the production site and simplifying the quality control process.

In the field of large structure inspection, an automated inspection system based on the laser tracker 'ATS800' is being introduced. Large structures, such as aerospace or wind power facilities, have a wide inspection range and long working times, resulting in a high demand for automation. Hexagon plans to showcase a configuration that automates inspection tasks by integrating autonomous mobile robots with the ATS800, thereby demonstrating the potential for improving operational efficiency in large-scale manufacturing environments.

The AI-based CAM programming tool 'ProPlan AI' will also be unveiled. This software is characterized by its ability to learn from existing programming data to support the creation of machining programs tailored to each company's production environment. The company explained that this can reduce machine tool programming time and enhance the consistency and stability of work processes.

Hexagon intends to present its measurement equipment, inspection automation, and manufacturing software at this exhibition not as individual products, but as a connected manufacturing system. International stakeholders are expected to visit the site during the exhibition, and on-site events for the general public will also be held. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Hexagon is expanding its digital transformation business in the manufacturing sector based on precision measurement and sensor technologies.
