Sharing Self-Driving Lab Technologies and Application Cases to Respond to Changes in R&D Paradigms

As 'Self-Driving Labs' combining artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are garnering attention as innovative R&D technologies, a seminar covering related technologies and application cases will be held.

The Industrial Education Research Institute announced that it will hold the 'Great Transformation of R&D Paradigm - Practical Seminar on Establishing and Utilizing AI-based Autonomous Laboratories' on the 17th, both online and offline.

An autonomous laboratory is a research platform where AI automatically performs tasks such as hypothesis formulation, experiment design, data analysis, and process optimization. It is emerging as a key technology in line with the changing trends in research and development methods, driven by the recent combination of AI, digital twins, and robotics.

This seminar will focus on AI-based materials research and experimental automation technology.

The presentation topics include changes in R&D based on AI-based new materials engineering, establishment of autonomous laboratories combining AI prediction models and robotics, strategies for robot automation experiments, application of digital twin-based simulations, use cases of intelligent robots, and standardization of experimental data and establishment of an ecosystem.

The event will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:50 PM.

The seminar aims to share the latest technologies related to autonomous laboratories and industrial application cases. In particular, AI-based research automation and data utilization strategies are expected to be major topics of discussion.

The Industrial Education Research Institute stated that it expects this event to enable companies and research institutions to explore response strategies for securing R&D competitiveness.

Detailed information regarding seminar participation can be found on the official website of the Industrial Education Research Institute or by phone inquiry.
