Expanded features of the developer platform 'Workday Build'

Workday has added new features to its developer platform, Workday Build, to support the development and operation of AI agents. The goal is to help companies more easily build and validate AI applications that utilize HR and financial data.

Workday announced on the 6th that it has added Developer Agent, Agent Gateway Tools, and Agent Passport features to its developer platform, Workday Build.

Developer Agent is a feature that supports the construction of AI applications and agents based on natural language. It integrates with development tools such as Claude Code, Cline, Codex, Cursor, and Google Antigravity.

Agent support tools utilize the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable agents to access Workday’s HR and financial data. The company explained that security policies, access control, and audit trail functions are applied together.

It is also designed to integrate with Workday's external work environments by utilizing hundreds of agent support tools and external connectors.

Workday also unveiled 'Agent Passport,' which allows users to verify the security and regulatory compliance of AI agents.

Agent Passport is a certification system that provides information on security and compliance test results, verification bodies, and applied standards. It is intended to be utilized based on major standards such as OWASP LLM security standards, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) AI risk management framework, and MITRE ATLAS.

Cisco was introduced as the first verified partner participating in the certification scheme.

Workday Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Gabe Monroy stated, “It is important to support AI agents to operate safely in core business data environments.”
