SL1040A Cyanlab Regeneration AC Emulator,
EV/EVSE charging standards of existing solutions
Improved convenience of interoperability testing As the commercialization of electric vehicles (EVs) creates grid demand, it is also expected to expand energy storage opportunities through vehicle-to-grid (V2G) power applications. To meet the growing demand, distributed energy resources (DERs) in the form of solar, wind, and battery storage, as well as variable renewable energy (VRE), are being discussed in the global grid industry.

In addition, the increasing complexity and innovation of the grid are raising the test challenges of EV, EVSE (electric vehicle supply equipment) charging and grid edge applications. In response, Keysight Technologies launched the 'SL1200A Series Scienlab Regenerative 3-Phase AC Emulator' on the 18th. It is a single vendor solution consisting of hardware, software and services.
The Keysight SL1200A series handles three-phase AC test needs from 30 kVA to 630 kVA and up to 1,200 VAC without the use of a transformer. 600 VAC is suitable for EV/EVSE charging test applications including low-voltage inverter testing, and 1,200 VAC enables HVRT testing without a large, complex test setup.
The new emulator integrates high-power 3-phase AC and DC power with EV/EVSE charging and inverter test solutions to enable complete device testing. In addition, DC output (Option SDC) enables DC charging testing up to 1,000 VDC, 120 kW, without the need for additional equipment. Reduce test costs with a highly integrated, 100% regenerative (bidirectional) power solution with greater than 85% efficiency. In addition, 1200 V LL (line-to-line) is possible at full specification without additional equipment.
