Introducing MORAI SIM technology and strengthening cooperation with global companies
Expanding the platform to the entire unmanned vehicle industry, including UAM and unmanned robots

Moray has announced its exhibits and plans ahead of its participation in CES 2023.

Morai announced on the 20th that it plans to participate in CES 2023, held in Las Vegas, USA from January 5 to 8, 2023 (local time), to introduce the latest technology of its simulation platform, Morai SIM, to the global market and strengthen cooperation with global companies.

MORAI SIM, a simulation platform for verifying the safety and reliability of autonomous vehicles, provides a virtual environment identical to reality, including complex physical situations, weather changes, and changes in illumination over time, built as a digital twin.

MORAI SIM Drive, specialized in autonomous vehicles, provides a simulation environment identical to reality, with sensors and vehicle models, and virtually verifies the safety of autonomous vehicles based on this.

It is characterized by the ability to repeat scenario tests tens of thousands of times that are difficult to verify on actual roads, such as the risk of pedestrian collisions.

Morai applied simulation technology in the field of autonomous vehicles to △aircrafts △unmanned robots △unmanned ships △multipurpose unmanned vehicles It was made so that it can be used to verify the safety of the entire system of unmanned vehicles.

In addition to the MORAI SIM Drive, MORAI has also developed MORAI SIM Robotics, MORAI SIM Air, and MORAI SIM Traffic, which are specialized for robotics and air traffic control, respectively.

Specialized in robotics applications, MORAI SIM Robotics supports validation of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) in virtual environments.

In addition to wheeled mobile robots, we model various types of robots, such as walking robots and manipulators, and apply various dynamic models to describe realistic movements in a simulation environment.

In addition, various environments in which AMR can drive, from indoor environments such as factories and buildings to outdoor pedestrian roads, can be implemented in a realistic manner, allowing users to configure desired environments and scenarios and verify AMR.

MORAI SIM Air is a simulation solution dedicated to next-generation air mobility such as UAM and drones, verifying the system safety of aircraft in a virtual environment.

By simulating various flight environments that may occur in urban areas when operating UAM, the safety of the aircraft can be verified, such as by preventing and preparing for dangerous situations in advance.

Morai also applied digital twin technology to its traffic control system.

MORAI SIM Traffic, a digital twin-based control system, implements a traffic environment identical to reality in a virtual environment to support precise traffic control.

MORAI SIM Traffic is a system that enables autonomous vehicles on road networks. Connected vehicles, pedestrians, and infrastructure information can be displayed in real time in a 3D environment to visualize and analyze overall traffic flow.

MORAI SIM Traffic generates realistic traffic flow in a virtual environment by reflecting traffic volume information collected in real time, allowing analysis of the impact of traffic flow on autonomous and connected vehicles, and conversely, verification and analysis of the impact of these vehicles on the overall traffic flow.

Morai CEO Jeong Ji-won said, “In a situation where next-generation mobility innovations, including autonomous vehicles, UAM, unmanned robots, and unmanned ships, are progressing rapidly, simulation is attracting attention as a key technology that will promote mobility innovation because it can verify the safety and function of autonomous driving systems quickly, safely, and cost-effectively.” He added, “Through CES 2023, we plan to share Morai’s technology and vision with customers and partners in the global market and strengthen future cooperation.”

Meanwhile, Moray's booth at CES 2023 will be located in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), Booth Number: 6071.
