Apex.AI, which has been receiving attention early on for its vehicle software development capabilities, one of the core technologies for implementing vehicles, is entering the Korean market.

Apex.AI announced on the 9th that it has opened a Korean office in Pangyo, appointed Seongbeom Noh as the new branch manager, and is in the process of establishing a Korean corporation.

As electric and autonomous vehicles emerge as the future of automobiles, Apex.AI has been gaining attention early on for its ability to develop automotive software, one of the key technologies that will enable these vehicles.

Apex.AI, backed by Toyota Ventures, Volvo Group Venture Capital, Continental, Daimler Trucks, and financial investor Lightspeed, is leading the development of safety-certified software for mobility and autonomous driving applications.

Apex.AI was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Silicon Valley and currently has offices in Germany (Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart), Sweden (Gothenburg), and Japan (Tokyo).

These regions are strategically important to the global automotive industry and are home to a strong network of automotive software experts.

Dr. Jan Becker Jan Becker, CEO of Apex.AI, said, “Korea is home to the headquarters of the world’s third-largest global automotive OEM by annual automobile production, so entering the Korean market is critical to our collaboration with this OEM, its parts suppliers, and the related ecosystem.” He added, “Sungbeom Noh, the new CEO of Apex.AI Korea, will lead Apex.AI’s business expansion in Korea.”

“I am very honored to be appointed as the first Korean branch manager for Apex.AI,” said Noh Sung-beom, CEO. “I will start by establishing a solid business foundation in Korea and gradually expand our business areas into safety-critical markets such as autonomous robots, MaaS, agriculture, construction, and heavy industry where Apex.AI’s solutions can play a key role.”
