Obtaining international standard information security certification to prove security reliability and competitiveness
Morai (CEO Jiwon Jeong, Jun Hong), a company specializing in autonomous driving simulation, has proven its security reliability and competitiveness by obtaining international standard information protection certification.
Morai announced on the 22nd that it had obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for the international standard Information Security Management Systems from Lloyd's Register (LRQA), an internationally accredited certification body.
ISO 27001 is a global standard that defines requirements for an information security management system, providing best practices for companies to systematically manage and mitigate information security risks, thereby reducing the possibility of information security breaches.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the latest information security management system standard jointly revised and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in 2022. In addition to the information protection system required by the existing ISO 27001 standard, requirements tailored to the latest security threats and new business environments have been added and strengthened.
All control requirements for 93 detailed items in each information security management area, including organizational control, personnel control, physical control, and technical control, must be satisfied.
With this certification, Morai has demonstrated that its solutions adhere to best-in-class security practices and that its information security management system meets internationally recognized security standards for the protection and security of its customers’ data.
In addition, we plan to further strengthen information security and global certification activities, including ISO 27001 certification, to establish a sustainable management system in the ESG field.
Currently, Morai provides a simulation platform that can verify the safety of autonomous and unmanned vehicle systems.
In addition, based on the growth in the domestic autonomous driving market, we are strengthening our business in the US, Europe, and the Middle East, and with this certification, we will be able to provide more reliable virtual verification solutions to domestic and global customers.
Previously, Morai also obtained ISO 26262 certification from SGS-TUV Saar, an international standard certification body.
This certification is an international safety standard for evaluating and managing the functional safety of automotive electrical/electronic systems, and Morai has been recognized as having its simulation platform suitable for verifying safety requirements for the development and operation of autonomous vehicles.
CEO Hong Jun Morai said, “We are delighted to have our security capabilities officially recognized through ISO 27001 certification, the highest authority international standard in the field of information security. This certification will enable us to provide even greater reliability to our customers and partners. “We will continue to strengthen our information security management system and proactively respond to changing security threats to maintain the highest level of security,” he said.
