Launch of compact 2-channel interface 'VN5614'
Vector Korea (CEO Ji-Hwan Jang), a global company providing software solutions in the field of vehicle network and embedded system development, has launched a small 2-channel interface, 'VN5614', supporting analysis, simulation, testing, and monitoring of 10BASE-T1S based Ethernet buses.
Vector announced on the 7th that it has released the 'VN5614', a 2-channel interface that supports analysis and simulation of 10BASE-T1S based applications.
Vector's VN5614 provides Open Alliance (Battery Save and Standby standard) TC10 support and low-level error reporting.
The VN5614 is a comprehensive analysis, simulation, test and monitoring solution for the 10BASE-T1S bus, a standard interface for small automotive Ethernet networks.
The VN5614 is a compact, multi-purpose interface that can connect two independent 10BASE-T1S buses. Flexible access supports a wide range of use cases, from complex remaining bus simulation to passive measurement.
The VN5614 can perform bus simulations by connecting multiple virtual ECUs (Electronic Control Units) to a bus, and can also perform fault injection tests by sending extra Ethernet packets or injecting invalid packets.
It provides low-level errors, cycle information, PHY-level collision avoidance (PLCA) beacon events and statistical data for deeper insight into the bus. This data is made available visually in analysis tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer and can be used for vehicle and megawatt charging system (MCS) analysis.
The Open Alliance TC10 (battery power saving and standby function standard) for vehicle power management is also being applied to 10BASE-T1S. The VN5614 supports the Open Alliance TC10 standard and can be used as a test or monitoring tool. The VN5614 is rugged, compact, and USB-C powered, and can be used in a variety of environments such as offices, labs, test benches, and on-vehicles.
The VN5614 complements Vector's existing range of automotive and standard Ethernet compact tool interfaces. It completes Vector's 10BASE-T1S family of products along with the VN5650 and VN5240 interfaces.
The VN5614 supports the Automotive Ethernet 10BASE-T1S standard, Open Alliance TC10, PLCA beacon, and multi-virtual node simulation functions, making it the optimal choice for analysis, simulation, and monitoring tasks in the field and lab.
