ETTIFOS (CEO Ho-Jun Kim) has attracted 15 billion won in Series B investment and is targeting the autonomous driving and smart city communication markets with V2X semiconductors.

Etiphos announced that as of June 30, it had attracted a total of KRW 15 billion in investment in its Series B round.

This round was led by LB Investment, with four investment firms, including L&S Venture Capital, Kyobo Securities, and KR Ventures, participating and investing 8 billion won.

If an additional 7 billion won is paid in July, the final amount of 15 billion won will be confirmed.

Etiforce is a V2X semiconductor company specializing in supporting next-generation autonomous driving infrastructure and smart city communications.

By commercializing the world's first 5G-V2X-based software-defined modem (SDM), we have secured technological competitiveness that can flexibly respond to communication standards as a 'software-upgradable RSU (roadside equipment)' without hardware replacement.

Such technological prowess has clearly supported the possibility of expansion into the global market and has drawn the trust of investors.

Etiphos plans to use the secured investment funds to mass produce C-V2X hardware accelerator semiconductors at Samsung Foundry.

At the same time, we are starting development of the 3rd generation V2X-AIR to be installed in aftermarket and micro mobility devices.br />
We will also gradually build global production bases, including those in the U.S. and Europe, to enhance export competitiveness.

It is also a strategy to expand the telecommunication semiconductor market share by strengthening global marketing and expanding the market.

We are diversifying our business areas by entering new communication markets such as non-terrestrial satellite (NTN) vehicle communications, defense industry, and AI-RAN (Intelligent Radio Access Network).

Etiforce is conducting various PoCs (Proof of Concepts) in cooperation with global automakers, including V2X-based autonomous driving and eco-friendly vehicle control.

We are also rapidly accumulating verification cases by supplying V2X equipment to overseas highway autonomous driving design projects and the U.S. C-ITS (next-generation intelligent transport system) construction project.

With this Series B investment as a stepping stone, Etiphos will solidify its position in the military and NTN communication semiconductor sectors, including C-V2X SDM modems.

By expanding the application of technology to various fields such as autonomous driving, drones, military communications, and smart cities, the company will establish itself as a ‘communication semiconductor platform company that connects everything (Connecting Everything in Motion)’.

Etiphos previously raised 8.5 billion won in Series A from LB Investment, Industrial Bank of Korea, L&S Venture Capital, and BNK Venture Investment.

With the success of this Series B, the company will be able to launch its mid- to long-term growth strategy as a communications semiconductor specialist and will gain momentum for its leap forward as a global company.
