Expected to drastically reduce design efficiency and recall costs

Jura, a company specializing in automotive electrical design, is attracting attention from the industry by newly applying the 'Fluid Part Crash Simulation' function to its design solution 'CADvizor'.

The introduction of this feature is considered a technological advancement that can simultaneously address two key challenges: improving design review efficiency and reducing recall costs.

CADvizor is a design solution with motion-based crash verification capabilities that reflect the actual movements of major moving parts in a vehicle, such as seats, engines, and transmissions.

The newly added 'Fluid Part Collision Simulation' function simulates the motion path of each part to examine the possibility of collision in advance and generates an automatic report including detailed data such as interference depth and length, thereby drastically reducing repetitive review work.

According to Yura, one company that implemented CADvizor's new features saw a 90% reduction in design review time, from 100 hours to 10 hours, and annual recall costs are expected to drop by about 80% from the previous 4 to 10 billion won.

This demonstrates that the automotive industry can offer a practical solution that can kill two birds with one stone: improving design quality and productivity.

In particular, CADvizor provides simulation step-by-step collision images and part information. Its automatic reporting function, including interference data, helps designers identify and respond to problems more intuitively and quickly.

This is expected to have a positive impact not only on improving design quality but also on shortening product launch times.

Jura is currently verifying the effectiveness of this feature by applying it to major auto and parts manufacturing projects, and plans to expand its scope of application to various vehicle models and industries in the future.

Through this, CADvizor is expected to establish itself as a key solution that can contribute to strengthening design competitiveness across the automotive industry.

A YURA official stated, “CADvizor’s fluid collision simulation function is evolving beyond a simple design tool into a platform that can lead the future of the automotive industry through data-driven design optimization and automation technology.” He added, “We will continue to contribute to improving our customers’ design efficiency and quality through continuous technological development.”
