Vector Korea has simultaneously enhanced the quality, reliability, and development speed of its ECU development software.

Vector announced on the 19th that it has launched a 'SIL/HIL integrated test system' to establish a high-quality development and verification environment for vehicle control systems.

The key is to integrate software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) into a single, continuous process to identify defects early and minimize HIL resource usage, saving both cost and time.

Vector emphasizes a seamless transition from virtual verification to real-world validation with the message, 'Pave the Way With SIL - Make it Real With HIL.'

The complete integration of SIL and HIL, coupled with a "shift-left" strategy that catches software and hardware defects upfront, significantly reduces development risk.

Vector provides adapters optimized for SIL/HIL, enabling reuse of test cases and environments and consistent execution of the same scenarios in both virtual and real environments.

In this process, Vector's CANoe platform provides seamless integration, high scalability, and automation to quickly cover even complex test scenarios.

Developers can fix defects early through a fast feedback loop and accelerate the overall development schedule.

In the subsequent HIL phase, actual hardware is included in the loop to verify the software under realistic conditions.

Vector's HIL system is based on modular, scalable hardware and scales to meet project needs, providing high-precision sensor simulation, real-time control, and complex communication environments.

A high level of automation ensures repeatability and reproducibility, preventing potential errors that may occur during actual vehicle testing.

The design philosophy of the integrated system is ‘complete integration that naturally blends into the development process.’

Reduce total cost of ownership while accelerating time to market through customer-specific customization, modular scalability, and test resource efficiency.

As a result, it enables balanced performance across all areas: functionality, quality, reliability, and development speed.

In the era of software-defined vehicles and advanced ADAS/autonomous driving, a continuous verification system that connects the virtual and real worlds is essential.

Vector's 'SIL/HIL Integrated Test System' is a practical solution for quality assurance of the entire ECU software lifecycle, and is expected to accelerate the modernization of test strategies for complete vehicles and Tier 1s.

Meanwhile, Vector will be participating in the ' 2025 e4ds Tech Day ’ held at the ST Center on September 9th.; will be participating in the event and presenting on the topic of 'SW Factory in the SDV Era: Development Optimization Strategy through Integration and Distribution Automation'. Applications for ' 2025 e4ds Tech Day ' can be made on the official website ( https://www.e4ds.com/conference/techday/ ).
