The Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATI) has decided to jointly research core future technologies for the automotive industry with the Technical University of Norway (NTNU) and expand the scope of international cooperation.
Hanjayeon announced on the 24th that it had signed an MOU with NTNU for future mobility technology cooperation.
The areas of cooperation are technologies that are central to the transformation of the automotive industry, such as eco-friendly hydrogen technology, autonomous driving, and lightweight materials.
Both sides aimed to strengthen the competitiveness of the mobility industry and expand strategic international cooperation through research exchanges.
Hydrogen technology is considered a key driving force for the transition to eco-friendly mobility.
Autonomous driving and lightweight materials are also technologies directly linked to vehicle safety and efficiency, leading to continued research demand across the entire automotive and parts industries.
Hanjayeon and NTNU plan to pursue joint research and personnel exchanges in these fields.
It is reported that the Korea Association of Research Institutes will expand its foundation for cooperation with overseas research institutions through this agreement.
Both organizations plan to develop a cooperation model to respond to changes in the future mobility industry, along with technology exchange.
