Mouser Electronics, a global electronic components distributor, is launching a high-performance color sensor optimized for precision color correction applications.

Mouser announced on the 25th that it is supplying ams OSRAM's latest 14-channel multispectral color sensor, the 'TCS3448', to the domestic market.

This sensor is optimized for color correction applications that require precise color analysis and spectral matching, and can be used in a variety of industries, including camera performance enhancement (CCT, AWB, exposure time), display profiling, horticultural lighting control, and material identification.

The TCS3448 sensor has 14 channels capable of detecting the visible and near-infrared spectrum from 380 nm to 1000 nm.

Ten of these are evenly spaced visible light channels, while the remainder consist of dedicated infrared channels, clear channels, and 50/60Hz flicker detection channels.

In particular, the flicker detection function supports data buffer storage for external frequency calculation, contributing to accurate spectral reconstruction and ambient light characterization.

The sensor has a built-in analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and I2C interface for easy system integration and high repeatability even in applications requiring machine learning-based color analysis or high-precision color control.and provides accuracy.

Mouser also offers the 'TCS3448_EVM_KT' optical sensor evaluation kit, which allows users to evaluate the performance of the TCS3448 sensor.

The kit allows for visualization and analysis of real-time spectrum data via a USB interface and intuitive GUI software, and supports seamless communication with the sensor via an onboard microcontroller.

Users can freely set various parameters such as gain, integration time, and measurement mode, allowing them to easily verify sensor performance in real environments.
