Samsung Electronics is actively pursuing recruitment cooperation with universities to secure talent.

On the 15th, Samsung Electronics signed an agreement with Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology to establish a new employment-linked training course called 'Intelligent Motor Track'. The signing ceremony was attended by Vice President Lee Moo-hyung of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliances Division and Planning Director Park Ji-yong of Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology.

The 'Intelligent Motor Track' will be operated as a master's course, and Samsung Electronics and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology plan to train 15 specialized personnel every year starting in 2023.

Motors are a key technology for improving energy efficiency and durability of home appliances. Students who complete the 'Intelligent Motor Track' can grow into specialists through a customized curriculum in software (SW), artificial intelligence (AI), and machinery related to motors.

Students receive support for tuition and tuition subsidies during their period of study, and are hired by Samsung Electronics after graduation. Additionally, students are provided with various experiential opportunities, such as participating in the Samsung Electronics internship program and attending renowned overseas academic conferences.

Prior to this, Samsung Electronics signed an agreement with KAIST on the 13th to establish a ‘Samsung Electronics Robotics Talent Development Program.’ At the signing ceremony, Samsung Electronics DX Division CTO Jeon Kyung-hoon and KAIST Vice President for Academic Affairs Lee Seung-seop were in attendance.

The establishment of the 'Samsung Electronics Robotics Talent Development Program' is intended to proactively foster specialized human resources who will lead robotics research.

This program is a job-linked master's program, and Samsung Electronics and KAIST will select 10 scholarship students every year starting in the 2023 academic year. A robotics-related curriculum that combines in-depth theory and practical skills will be implemented.
