AMD invests $10 billion to build global AI computing network.

AMD announced today a groundbreaking collaboration with Saudi Arabian AI startup HUMAIN to build a $10 billion AI infrastructure.

This collaboration is expected to support the global expansion of AI technologies through a network of AMD-powered AI computing centers spanning from Saudi Arabia to the United States.

Under the agreement, AMD and Humain plan to invest up to $10 billion over the next five years to secure 500 megawatts (MW) of AI computing capacity.

AMD will provide its AI computing portfolio and AMD ROCm™ open software ecosystem, while Humane will oversee hyperscale data centers, sustainable power systems, and global network interconnection infrastructure, building an AI superstructure that supports AI workloads for enterprises, startups, and countries.

AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su Lisa Su emphasized, “AMD has a goal to realize the future of AI everywhere through open high-performance computing, and this collaboration will be an important milestone in the advancement of global AI infrastructure.”

The two companies are already conducting initial deployments in key regions around the world and plan to build a multi-exaflops AI infrastructure by early 2026, based on next-generation AI semiconductors, modular data center zones, and a developer-centric software platform that supports open standards and interoperability.

This collaboration is expected to contribute to setting a new standard in the AI market by combining Saudi Arabia’s AI support workforce and national AI policies with AMD’s comprehensive AI technology.
