Presentation of In-Pack and Internal Battery Pack Integration Cases, Demonstrating Size, Weight, and Cost Reduction Benefits

The potential applications of compact, high-power density DC-DC conversion modules in the field of electric vehicle power design will be introduced in detail at a domestic automotive technology event. Vicor, a company specializing in power modules, plans to present solutions for improving electric vehicle power supply network (PDN) design based on its collaborations with domestic parts suppliers.
Vicor announced that it will participate in the 2026 Automotive Innovation Day (AID), held at the Suwon Convention Center on July 1, and present a case study on an electric vehicle PDN design using small power modules.
The presentation will be jointly conducted by Park Dong-bin, Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) at Vicor Korea, and Kim Dong-hyun, Senior Manager at INFAC.
Inpac announced that it has successfully integrated Vicor's compact DC-DC converter form factor inside an electric vehicle battery pack.
Vicor technology supports symmetric bidirectional power transmission and current transient response performance of 8 million amperes per second (8.0 MA/s).
In addition, it is reported that reusing the same power module in various configurations can meet the power requirements of multiple in-vehicle applications, enabling reductions in development time and costs.
At the exhibition booth for this event, a separate guide will also be provided on how to design a compact and lightweight HV-SELV DC-DC converter using Vicor power modules.
AID is a one-day conference featuring technology demonstrations and presentations for project managers, R&D personnel, and design engineers in the automotive industry.
