As demand for power semiconductors spreads across the board to AI data centers, renewable energy, and software-defined vehicles (SDVs), Infineon Technologies has enhanced its supply responsiveness by operating a large-scale new fab in Dresden, Germany.

The produced semiconductors are scheduled to be supplied to AI data center power supply, wind and solar power generation systems, SDV, etc.

Smart Power Fab has adopted a production system that does not use natural gas.

Infineon stated that it can recirculate about 90% of the water used through water treatment technology and a circular water management system, thereby recovering up to 45% of the energy used.
