Selecting 10 semiconductor startups and ventures every year
Support for leveraging Arm IP for one year Arm has become the first multinational company to be selected as a detailed company by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, i.e., a voluntary mutual cooperation company, for the 12th time.

On the 22nd, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups signed a 'Detailed Enterprise' business agreement with Arm to support the growth of domestic semiconductor startups and venture companies.
The signing ceremony, held via the video conferencing service 'Maltalk Note' of domestic company Dial Communications, was attended by Minister of SMEs and Startups Park Young-sun, Arm CEO Simon Segars, Seoul National University President Oh Se-jeong, and Korea Venture Business Association Chairman Ahn Geon-jun.
Under the agreement, Arm will provide 'Arm Flexible Access' to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups for the next three years and support real-time online and on-site consulting by 15 technical staff.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups selects 10 startups and venture companies every year to utilize Arm's IP for one year. Seoul National University participates in the selection process.
Arm Flexible Access, first launched in July 2019, is a contract model that allows semiconductor design teams to initiate projects before purchasing IP licenses and pay only for the IP actually used in production. The number of contracts signed is increasing by approximately one per week, according to Arm officials.
Startups and venture companies selected in June will be able to carry out complete projects utilizing Arm's IP, including Cortex CPUs, Mali GPUs, system IP, security IP, physical IP, software tools, and models.
