STMicroelectronics Strengthens STM32Cube Ecosystem
STM32CubeMX v6.0, STM32CubeIDE v1.4
Added STM32PackCreator for developing expansion packs STMicroelectronics announced today that it has added new features to its MCU configuration and project setup tool (STM32CubeMX v6.0) and multi-OS C/C++ development tool (STM32CubeIDE v1.4). The two tools enable users to easily search through a large number of software examples and jump-start their projects.

STM32Cube MCU packages, dedicated to specific products and series, contain peripheral drivers, middleware, application examples, and Board Support Packages (BSPs) to help implement device features and peripherals. STM32Cube expansion packages are available not only to ST but also to third parties, allowing flexibility in adding new features while maintaining the integrity of the STM32Cube ecosystem.
STM32PackCreator, added in STM32CubeMX v6.0, allows users to develop and share their own STM32Cube expansion packages. STM32PackCreator guides the user through the expansion pack development process and allows all generated packages to be opened, configured, and improved in the STM32CubeMX and STM32CubeIDE tools.
In addition, other ST design tools are available, such as AlgoBuilder, a graphical algorithm design tool for STM32 MCUs and MEMS sensors, and ST-MC-SUITE for motor control. You can also run eDesignSuite, which helps you design related system functions such as signal conditioning, power conversion, and RF circuits.
Easy-to-follow videos provided in STM32CubeMX version 6.0 help users learn more about the new features and get the most out of the tool. All elements of the STM32Cube ecosystem, including tools and embedded software components, are provided free of charge.
