Second UPS online cutover completed

Shenzhen Airport announced on the 28th that it has selected Huawei as its partner for a key project called 'Future Airport Phase II Implementation: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System Upgrade'. This provides the energy foundation for building a smart future airport and rebuilding the information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure platform.

Shenzhen Airport is the only Chinese airport participating in the International Air Transport Association's 'Airport of the Future' pilot program, and is currently implementing a number of forward-looking upgrade and reconstruction projects to make the program a reality.

Huawei's modular UPS features AI forward-looking warnings for components such as capacitors and fans, transforming operations and maintenance (O&M) from manual to proactive prevention. In addition, all modules are quick-replaceable and can be replaced within 5 minutes in the event of a fault, further simplifying O&M.

Shenzhen Airport and Huawei team completed the second UPS online cutover without any errors at 03:00 AM on July 18, just 13 days after the success of the first cutover. Therefore, a total of 30 medium and large UPS systems will be installed in 10 distribution rooms located in Shenzhen Airport Terminal and Information Technology Center.
