Applied Materials Korea, a global leader in materials engineering solutions, has appointed Park Kwang-sun as its new president.


Applied Materials announced on the 31st that it has appointed Park Kwang-sun, Vice President of Applied Materials Korea, as the new President and Regional General Manager.

Mr. Park Kwang-sun joined Applied Materials in 1994 and has achieved outstanding results while building his career in technical support and sales. He has successfully led the business while overseeing the semiconductor Samsung business unit at Applied Materials Korea for the past five years.

With his extensive experience in the semiconductor industry and dedication to customers, President Park will focus on further developing Applied’s business in Korea and helping customers improve the performance, power, size, cost and time to market (PPACt) of their chips.

Under President Park’s leadership, Applied plans to create new opportunities and expand its capabilities in the region, including the establishment of the Applied R&D Center in Gyeonggi Province.

“I am honored to be appointed as the President of Applied Materials Korea, which has grown and developed with Korean customers for the past 33 years,” said Park Kwang-sun, President. “We look forward to working closely with our customers to accelerate the PPACt roadmap,” he said.
