Lenovo Delivers Hybrid AI from Edge to Cloud
Hybrid AI Factory Platform Unveiled, Providing Customized AI
According to the latest IDC global survey, despite a threefold increase in AI-related spending, return on investment (ROI) remains the biggest barrier to AI adoption. As business leaders seek tangible results from their AI investments, customized hybrid AI solutions that effectively leverage AI agents are emerging as a new solution.
On the 19th, Lenovo announced the 'Hybrid AI Advantage with NVIDIA' solution to accelerate AI adoption at NVIDIA GTC.
In this announcement, Lenovo announced that it is combining Lenovo’s full-stack AI portfolio and customizable use cases with new platform options, including the NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra platform, NVIDIA RTX™ PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, and networking innovations. This can be applied to applications such as AI inference, agentic AI, and real-time video generation.
“Lenovo is making AI smarter by providing AI solutions that run across devices, edge and cloud,” said Yuanqing Yang, Lenovo Chairman. “Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage with NVIDIA integrates with Blackwell’s next-generation infrastructure to help scale agentic AI across private and public AI models.”
“AI agents that can reason and adapt are redefining the way we work,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “NVIDIA and Lenovo provide the infrastructure needed to implement and scale AI inference, taking generative AI and agentive AI from the lab to the enterprise.”
■ Moving towards hybrid AI and agentic AI The new solution leverages Lenovo’s leadership in hybrid infrastructure and the recently announced Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage with NVIDIA to take a factory-like approach to transforming data intelligence everywhere, efficiently scaling AI across the business.
Lenovo presented use cases such as content creation, customer service improvement, and knowledge assistant. Lenovo unveiled its digital human assistant, the Lenovo AI Knowledge Assistant, at NVIDIA GTC.
The solution is based on the Lenovo Agentic AI Platform and can be deployed to run new AI agents and assistants by customizing Lenovo AI library cases within a matter of weeks. The demo features a digital human running on a Lenovo PX ThinkStation, customized with NVIDIA AI Blueprints and NVIDIA NIM™ microservices.
Attendees of this year's GTC event interacted with a natural language voice-based virtual human interface using these solutions, providing real-time answers to event-related questions, maps, schedules, and meeting locations.
■ Lenovo Expands AI Factory Ecosystem Lenovo also unveiled a hybrid AI factory platform for AI workloads that simplifies AI training, inference, and deployment across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments.
Lenovo's AI Factory is built on ThinkSystem SR675, 680, and 685 servers that utilize NVIDIA Hopper and Blackwell GPUs, Grace CPUs, Spectrum-X networking, and Bluefield DPUs. It is specifically designed to maximize the performance of AI and HPC workloads when combined with the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform.
For data centers, it is available with the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR675 V3 server equipped with NVIDIA H200 NVL, NVIDIA networking, and the NVIDIA AI enterprise software platform, providing a turnkey infrastructure solution that enables enterprises of all sizes to rapidly deploy hybrid AI factories or expand existing IT infrastructure.
Lenovo announced that it supports companies' rapid transition to AI by providing the following: △ThinkStation and AI Ready PX workstations that support AI model development, △Neptune water-cooled AI infrastructure that processes large-scale AI workloads, and △AI Fast Start Service.
Lenovo said that through this AI Factory platform, it plans to help companies build and expand customized AI infrastructure.
