Sandisk supports high-speed data processing demands in diverse environments such as gaming, content creation, and artificial intelligence work by launching the world's fastest solid-state drive.

SanDisk has launched the next-generation high-performance SSD 'WD_BLACK™ SN8100 NVMe™ SSD' based on the PCIe® Gen5 interface.

This product supports sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s and large capacity of up to 8 TB.

The need for ultra-high-speed storage is increasing due to recent improvements in game graphics, an increase in 4K and 8K content, and the spread of AI technology.

The WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe™ SSD is the ideal storage solution for high-end gamers and professionals performing AI-based tasks.

In particular, power efficiency has been improved by more than 100% compared to existing PCIe Gen4 SSDs, maximizing not only speed but also system design efficiency.

SanDisk also introduced a model equipped with a heatsink. This model uses a passive cooling design made of aluminum to effectively manage heat without a separate power supply or fan.

The WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe™ SSD model without heatsink will be available for purchase from online shopping malls such as Naver Smart Store starting from the end of May.

The prices are set at 385,000 won for the 1TB model, 550,000 won for the 2TB model, and 990,000 won for the 4TB model. The 8TB model and the model with heatsink are expected to be released in the second half of this year.
