Radeon RX 9060 XT and Threadripper 9000 Series Unveiled
Industry-leading performance and efficiency in specialized industries and AI development
AMD heralded new innovations in the high-performance computing market at Computex 2025, unveiling the Radeon RX 9060 XT and Radeon AI Pro R9700 graphics cards, and Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series processors. This announcement features products that deliver industry-leading performance and efficiency across gaming, content creation, professional industries, and AI development.
AMD hosted a Computex 2025 side event at the Grand Hyatt Taipei on the 21st, with Senior Vice President Jack Huynh and industry partners presenting AMD’s leadership in gaming, workstation, and AI PCs, as well as highlighting the latest developments across its Ryzen and Radeon product portfolios.

The Radeon RX 9060 XT, newly unveiled by AMD at this event, is designed based on the latest RDNA™ 4 architecture and applies ray tracing and machine learning technologies to deliver an enhanced gaming experience.
Key features include FSR 4 upscaling for improved image quality and frame rates based on machine learning, and ray tracing processing that has doubled compared to the previous generation to deliver lifelike lighting and shadows. It is also optimized for gaming at 1440p with up to 16GB of GDDR6 memory and 32 RDNA 4 compute units.
FSR 4 (FidelityFX Super Resolution 4) and HYPR-RX technologies provide higher response speeds and immersive screens, while AI-based optimization enables smooth gameplay without interruption.
Along with this, AMD unveiled the Radeon AI Pro R9700, a product targeting the AI-based workstation and high-performance AI computing markets.
Equipped with a 2nd generation AMD AI accelerator, it maximizes fine-tuning of machine learning models and AI inference performance, and supports PCIe Gen 5 to enable fast data transfer and multi-GPU expansion.
32GB of graphics memory enables smooth processing of large models and parallel computing tasks.
This GPU provides an optimal environment for AI developers and creative professionals, and has powerful performance for complex simulations and real-time rendering.

Along with this, AMD has redefined high-end desktop computing performance for professionals and enthusiasts by unveiling the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 WX-series and Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series.
It supports up to 96 cores and 192 threads, has 384 MB of L3 cache, 128 lanes of PCIe 5.0 connectivity, and is optimized for AI model training and physical simulation.
Especially the top model Ryzen The Threadripper Pro 9995WX provides an advanced computing environment for large-scale data processing and multi-GPU workloads, minimizing bottlenecks in VFX rendering, AI model training, and simulation tasks.
The Radeon RX 9060 XT is scheduled to launch on June 5th, priced at $299 for the 8GB model and $349 for the 16GB model.
The Radeon AI Pro R9700 is scheduled to be released in July, while the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 WX-series is scheduled to be released in late 2025. The Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series will be available for general retail purchase starting in July 2025.
Meanwhile, in his Computex keynote speech, Senior Vice President Jack Huynh highlighted AMD’s vision for expanding the AI PC market by introducing the ASUS Expert P Series Copilot+ PCs featuring AMD Ryzen AI Pro 300 Series processors.
AMD AI Pro delivers NPU performance of up to 50 TOPS and more, and enhances enterprise-grade security and manageability features. It also enhances AI on business platforms to deliver high productivity.
