Nordic Semiconductor, a global leader in low-power wireless connectivity technology, has announced support for Samsung's SmartThings Find SDK, taking a full-scale step toward popularizing IoT-based location tracking technology and securing competitiveness in the global market.

Nordic announced on the 4th that it will officially support Samsung's SmartThings Find SDK for its main wireless SoC product line.

This integration includes the next-generation nRF54L15 and nRF54L10 SoCs, as well as the widely used nRF52840 and nRF52833 models, enabling developers to more easily implement advanced asset tracking solutions by combining Samsung’s powerful IoT ecosystem with Nordic’s ultra-low-power wireless technology.

The SmartThings Find SDK is a toolkit designed to enable device manufacturers and developers to integrate location tracking capabilities into their devices without the need for complex initial development.

It is applicable to various device types and maximizes development efficiency through comprehensive documentation and technical support.

End users can easily locate lost devices based on the SmartThings ecosystem, significantly improving security and convenience. />
Nordic's SDK integration is provided through its software development kit, the nRF Connect SDK, which enables developers to quickly develop SmartThings Find compatible devices.

Commercializing SmartThings Find compatible devices requires participation in Samsung's SmartThings Find Partnership Program, which is available only to registered Samsung partners.
