Leading the way in sustainable job creation and ESG implementation
ASML Korea, the Korean branch of ASML, the world's largest semiconductor exposure equipment company, has been recognized for its leadership in sustainable job creation and ESG practices.
ASML Korea was selected as the '2025 Korea's Best Employer', winning the award for the fourth consecutive year.
This system, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, selects and rewards companies that have contributed to the creation of quality jobs and improved working environments. Since 2022, ASML Korea has been presenting an exemplary employment model through continuous new employee recruitment and welfare improvements every year.
ASML Korea has been recruiting double-digit numbers of new employees every year since 2022, contributing to the growth of the domestic semiconductor industry and expanding employment.
In particular, it attracted attention by increasing new hiring by 13% in 2024 compared to the previous year. We are supporting our employees' work-life balance and increasing their job satisfaction by introducing various working methods such as flexible work hours, telecommuting, staggered work hours, and flexible work hours.
ASML Korea is alleviating the burden of childcare for its employees through family-friendly welfare systems such as childbirth subsidies, special leave, childcare subsidies, family care leave, and company-run daycare centers.
We are also strengthening our corporate culture with family-friendly events such as the ASML Korea Music Festival.
We also operate essential training programs to strengthen work capabilities, and strive to improve employees' economic stability and quality of life through various systems such as housing loan interest and monthly rent support, welfare points, and anniversary leave.
ASML Korea is also leading the way in ESG management practices.
We encourage eco-friendly commuting by providing subsidies to commuters who use public transportation or walk, and we practice coexistence with the local community through activities such as the sea cleanup at Gungpyeong Port in Hwaseong City and the science education volunteer activity 'Science Camp' for elementary school students.
These efforts led to receiving the Gyeonggi Province Governor's Award for Merit in 2024.
ASML Korea CEO Choi Han-jong said, “Technological innovation comes from people with diverse backgrounds and talents,” and added, “ASML Korea is continuously striving to become a great company to work for, and being selected as a top workplace for four consecutive years is the result of that effort.”
He added, “We will continue to contribute to the development of the domestic semiconductor ecosystem and grow together with our employees.”
