NVIDIA and Intel, global leaders in AI computing technology, are moving forward to provide cutting-edge solutions through the integration of NVLink-based architectures.

NVIDIA and Intel have formally announced a strategic collaboration to jointly develop customized data center and personal computing products to accelerate a wide range of applications and workloads from hyperscale to enterprise and consumer markets, laying the foundation for the next era of computing.

The core of this collaboration is to seamlessly connect the two companies' architectures by leveraging NVIDIA's NVLink technology.

This combines NVIDIA's AI and accelerated computing capabilities with Intel's CPU technology and x86 ecosystem to provide cutting-edge solutions to customers.

In the data center sector, Intel will design and manufacture custom x86 CPUs for NVIDIA, which will then integrate them into its AI infrastructure platform and supply them to the market.

In the personal computing space, Intel is developing an x86-based system-on-chip (SoC) that combines NVIDIA RTX GPU chiplets.

This new x86 RTX SoC is expected to be featured in a variety of PCs that require the integration of high-performance CPUs and GPUs, delivering performance optimized for high-spec gaming and content creation environments. It is expected that.

NVIDIA announced a $5 billion investment in Intel common stock at $23.28 per share. The investment is subject to regulatory approval and other closing conditions, and is expected to further strengthen the partnership between the two companies.

“AI is driving a new industrial revolution and reinventing every layer of the computing stack,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “This collaboration represents a historic convergence, combining NVIDIA’s AI and accelerated computing stack with Intel’s CPU and x86 ecosystem, and is a cornerstone of the next era of computing.”

“Intel’s x86 architecture is the foundation of modern computing, and we continue to innovate to support future workloads,” said Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan. “This collaboration combines Intel’s manufacturing prowess with NVIDIA’s AI technologies to deliver new breakthroughs for the industry.”
