Silicon Labs has set a new standard for IoT security by becoming the world's first company to achieve PSA Level 4 security certification.


Silicon Labs announced today at its Works With Summit in Austin, Texas, that it has officially unveiled its Series 3 SoC platform for the next generation of wireless connectivity.

The newly released SiMG301 and SiBG301 are the first products in Series 3 and are the world's first to obtain PSA Level 4 security certification, setting a new standard for IoT security.

Series 3 is an SoC platform that complements the existing Series 2 platform while significantly improving compute, connectivity, integration, and security performance.

In particular, based on a multi-core architecture and 22nm process, it can efficiently process edge computing and complex protocol stacks by separating application, wireless, and security workloads.

The SiMG301 is a multi-protocol SoC that simultaneously supports Zigbee, Bluetooth LE, and Matter over Thread, and is optimized for matter-centric devices such as smart lighting, sensors, and controllers.

Equipped with LED pre-driver and PIXELRZ single-wire interface, it simplifies design and reduces BOM cost and board space.It can save your liver.

The SiBG301 is a model specialized for Bluetooth low energy applications and can be easily migrated from Series 2.

Both products offer up to 4MB of flash and 512KB of RAM, satisfying both high performance and low power efficiency in various IoT environments such as smart home and smart building lighting.

The SiMG301 is one of the first product families to receive Matter Protocol Compliance Platform certification from the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), enabling rapid time-to-market for Matter devices.

Developing on a certified platform reduces the number of tests required and allows you to take advantage of CSA's Fast Track and Expedited Certification Renewal programs, reducing development cycles and costs.

In terms of security, Series 3 also represents a groundbreaking advancement.

Secure Vault, which has achieved the highest level of PSA Level 4 certification recognized by PSA Certified, has strong defense capabilities against advanced physical attacks such as laser fault injection, side-channel analysis, and voltage manipulation.

This means a level of security that can respond to global regulations such as the EU RED, CRA, and the US Cyber Trust Mark.

With Series 3 Secure Vault, Silicon Labs offers enhanced root-of-trust, lifecycle control, and over-the-air update support, delivering a solution optimized for maintaining the security of long-term IoT products.
