SanDisk is expanding its market for high-performance storage solutions for the AI era by meeting not only the NVMe SSD specifications for data centers but also key criteria such as product efficiency, openness, scalability, and sustainability.

SanDisk announced on the 16th that its high-performance PCIe® Gen5-based enterprise SSD, the SANDISK® SN861 NVMe™ SSD, has received official OCP Certification™ from the Open Compute Project (OCP).

As demand for AI and machine learning-based applications surges, high-performance SSDs capable of handling compute-intensive workloads are becoming essential infrastructure for hyperscale, cloud, and enterprise data centers.

The SanDisk SN861 NVMe™ SSD supports up to 16TB of capacity and delivers optimized performance for key stages of the AI data cycle, including model training, interface prompt processing, and the inference engine.

This product is designed for ultra-low latency environments, delivering fast response speeds and minimizing delays in mission-critical tasks.

Additionally, its low-power design improves IOPS performance per watt, contributing to lower overall total cost of ownership (TCO). The SSD supports U.2 and E1.S form factors and can be found on the OCP Marketplace.
