Dassault Systèmes and NVIDIA announced that they have entered into a long-term strategic partnership aimed at building a joint industrial architecture to apply mission-critical artificial intelligence (AI) across industries.

The two companies plan to implement an industrial world model by combining Dassault Systèmes’ virtual twin technology with NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure, open models, and acceleration software libraries. They explain that this will enable them to secure consistent data and verification systems from the design and simulation stages to actual operations, and to utilize industrial AI as a core system rather than a single function.

Dassault Systèmes explained that unlike existing prediction and generative AI approaches, this collaboration is characterized by a focus on models based on physical laws and scientific verification. NVIDIA also stated that it focused on establishing an AI operational architecture scalable even in large-scale industrial environments by combining its accelerated computing and physical AI technologies.

Specifically, in the fields of life sciences and materials, research on new materials and next-generation materials is accelerated by integrating NVIDIA's BioNeMo platform with Dassault Systèmes' BIOVIA solutions. In the engineering domain, CUDA-X and AI physics libraries are utilized to improve the accuracy of physical behavior prediction for SIMULIA-based virtual twins, and in the manufacturing domain, Omniverse physical AI libraries are integrated into DELMIA global production system virtual twins to drive factory-level simulation and operational optimization.

Global companies and research institutions also presented this collaboration as a real-world application. Officials from the food, industrial automation, automotive, and aerospace sectors expressed expectations for benefits such as large-scale modeling and optimization, reduced timelines from design to verification, and improved efficiency in regulatory compliance.

This partnership was unveiled at Dassault Systèmes' annual event, '3DEXPERIENCE World'. The industry is paying close attention to whether this collaboration will influence the future adoption of AI across industries, as it represents an attempt to establish industrial AI as a verifiable and scalable structure.
