Two Gold Awards for Object-type Speaker and Recycling Concept… Achievements Across All Product and UX Categories

Samsung Electronics won a total of 77 awards, including two gold medals, at the German international design competition 'iF Design Award 2026'. This is the result of recognition for its design competitiveness across products and user experiences.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 24th (local time) that it achieved 77 awards, including two gold medals, at the 'iF Design Award 2026' results announced in Germany. The iF Design Award is an international design competition that began in 1953 and evaluates nine categories: product, packaging, communication, concept, interior, architecture, service design, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI).

The gold-winning 'Music Studio 5' is an object-shaped Wi-Fi speaker inspired by spheres and dots. It features a design that harmonizes with the space while delivering sound through the application of a front micro-perforation process. Another gold-winning entry, the 'Samsung Home Appliances Accessories' concept, is characterized by utilizing waste generated during the home appliance manufacturing process as materials for consumables and applying different colors depending on the post-processing method. Air purifier filters and vacuum cleaner dust bags were labeled as semi-permanent, recyclable, and general waste. This concept also won a gold award at 'IDEA 2024'.

Samsung Electronics received a total of 77 awards, including 2 Gold Awards, 39 Product Awards, 14 UX Awards, 5 Communication Awards, 16 Concept Awards, and 3 Service Design Awards.

Major award winners include the 'Galaxy S25 Edge,' which features an ultra-slim design with a thickness of 5.8mm and a weight of 163g; 'The Freestyle+,' which minimizes screen distortion on various surfaces; 'Infinite AI Combo,' which performs washing and drying in a single step; and 'Spatial Signage,' which provides 3D effects without glasses. Additionally, 'One UI 7,' which enhances the mobile AI experience, and 'Home Insight,' which analyzes home appliance usage patterns, were also included in the list of winners.

Mauro Porcini, CDO of Samsung Electronics, stated that design plays a role in creating everyday experiences beyond products, and said that they will continue to expand people-centered immersive customer experiences.
