35.2% market share, 2.5 million annual sales… Strengthening B2B strategy through product and solution expansion
Samsung Electronics has ranked first in the global commercial display market for 17 consecutive years. It is evaluated that the company is maintaining its leadership in the business-to-business (B2B) display market by pursuing product line expansion and the advancement of operational solutions, going beyond mere sales dominance.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 19th that it recorded a 35.2% market share in the global commercial display market by sales volume in 2025. According to market research firm Omdia, annual sales exceeded 2.5 million units, marking an all-time high. Commercial displays include smart signage, electronic whiteboards, and business TVs, while consumer TVs were excluded from the count.

In terms of products, new form factors and low-power products stand out. Spatial Signage is a product that utilizes Samsung’s 3D Plate technology to create a three-dimensional effect within a slim 52mm thick structure, and an 85-inch model has currently been released. This product has been recognized for its technological perfection by winning awards at major global exhibitions and design stages, including the CES 2026 Innovation Award, the iF Design Award 2026, and ISE 2026.

Color ePaper targets the demand for replacing paper posters while reducing power consumption. Following the existing 32-inch model, Samsung Electronics recently added a 13-inch model that is close in size to A4 paper. This product utilizes phytoplankton oil-based bio-resin, and the company explained that it can reduce carbon emissions during the manufacturing stage by more than 40% compared to the same weight of petroleum-based resin.

The application fields are wide-ranging, including retail, corporate, education, and hotels. Spatial Signage is presented as a suitable product for spaces where visual attention is critical, such as retail stores or exhibition halls, while Color ePaper is suitable for offline store environments requiring frequent print replacements. In addition, Samsung VXT plays a role in enhancing operational efficiency by remotely managing screens installed across various locations and supporting real-time monitoring and content distribution.

Samsung Electronics' strategy does not stop at display sales. The company plans to equip the Samsung VXT next month with an 'AI Studio' feature that allows users to create signage videos using only a single photo and text input. Amid the shift in competition within the commercial display market from a focus on screen performance to integrated services that include content creation and operation, Samsung appears to be responding to the market by strengthening its operating system that links devices and software.
