HID, a global leader in trusted identity and access control solutions, has accelerated the transformation of enterprise passwordless security by enabling efficient distribution and centralized management of passkeys at enterprise scale.

HID recently unveiled a new Enterprise Passkey Management (EPM) solution along with a suite of next-generation FIDO authentication credentials.

This announcement aims to accelerate the transition to passwordless security by providing an environment for efficient distribution and central management of passkeys at enterprise scale.

According to a recent survey by the FIDO Alliance, 87% of businesses worldwide have adopted passkeys, but half of those that haven't cited complexity and cost as major barriers.

To address these challenges, HID has unveiled a flexible and scalable solution that supports FIDO adoption without compromising user experience or security.

HID's next-generation portfolio offers centralized management capabilities that address a variety of business environments, including anti-phishing capabilities and enterprise-class lifecycle management. This reduces the support burden on the IT department and improves operational efficiency across the organization.

The EPM solution is offered on a subscription basis and empowers IT and IAM leaders to accelerate deployment and reduce training burden by enabling administrators to issue FIDO credentials on behalf of users.

Additionally, it enhances regulatory compliance and security by managing the issuance, revocation, and audit history of credentials on a large scale.

Along with this, HID also announced a 'one-card' solution that can manage physical and logical access in an integrated manner.

This solution enables secure access to both physical and digital workspaces, while reducing deployment and management complexity.

Representative products include: △Seos® FIDO-enabled card: a single credential card that combines Seos technology and FIDO 2.1 authentication; △MIFARE DESFire EV3 FIDO-enabled card: a high-performance access card that integrates DESFire EV3 smart card technology and FIDO authentication.
