Sony Chipset-Based Smart Transportation Project Completed
Nota Co., Ltd. has successfully completed a smart transportation project based on Sony chipsets, demonstrating its global technological competitiveness.
Nota announced on the 13th that it achieved 100% accuracy by applying AI optimization technology utilizing Sony's smart image sensor 'IMX500' in the AI voucher project hosted by the National Intelligence Service (NIPA).
Amid the rapid development of AI technology, Nota has implemented high-performance AI through on-device AI optimization technology.
This is a technology that operates efficiently without slowdown by processing data on the device itself rather than on a cloud server.
In this project, Nota applied AI optimization technology to implement pedestrian safety management and traffic volume analysis functions, thereby contributing to preventing traffic accidents and creating smooth traffic flow.
In this project, Nota demonstrated its technological superiority by achieving 100% accuracy compared to global AI-based traffic solution companies such as Velodyne and Derq.
In particular, economic efficiency has been enhanced by maximizing the low-power and low-cost characteristics of Sony's IMX500 chipset.
It has significantly reduced the operating costs of AI solutions compared to competitors and has further expanded the potential for use in smart city and traffic management systems.
Sony also has a pro with NotaIn a webinar hosted by Ject, he presented on the topic of ‘Edge AI technology for preventing pedestrian accidents.’
In the presentation, Nota's AI optimization technology was introduced as a best practice in power consumption and cost reduction, drawing more attention from the global market.
Nota is currently continuing its technological collaboration through strategic partnerships with global semiconductor companies such as Sony, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics, and Arm.
Based on this market competitiveness, Nota achieved sales of 8.4 billion won in the last fiscal year, a growth rate of 136% over the previous year.
In addition, Nota is the first AI optimization company to submit a preliminary examination application for listing on the KOSDAQ to the Korea Exchange and is currently in the process of full-scale listing.
It is also expanding its influence in the Middle Eastern market, recently signing a contract to supply ITS solutions with the Dubai Transport Authority in the UAE, and has also garnered attention in the global AI market, achieving the feat of being selected as one of the 'Global Innovative AI Startups 100' announced by CB Insights.
Having successfully completed this project, Nota plans to continue to expand its influence in the global market by leading innovations in energy efficiency and cost reduction in various industrial fields including smart cities.
