Participating in North America's largest kitchen and bathroom exhibition held in Orlando... Targeting the U.S. market with AI food ingredient recognition and wine-specialized appliances.

Samsung Electronics set out to expand its presence in the U.S. market at North America's largest kitchen and bathroom exhibition, showcasing home appliances with enhanced AI capabilities and luxury built-in products.

Samsung Electronics announced that it participated in 'KBIS 2026 (The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show 2026)' held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA from the 17th to the 19th (local time).

KBIS is the largest kitchen and bathroom industry exhibition in North America, with over 650 global companies participating. Samsung Electronics prepared an exhibition booth spanning approximately 112 square meters under the theme "Enabling Better Living" and unveiled "BESPOKE AI appliances" with advanced AI capabilities and the product line of its premium built-in brand, "Dacor."

The 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator, which has won multiple CES Innovation Awards, was placed at the front of the exhibition hall. The 2026 model improves the internal camera-based ingredient recognition feature 'AI Vision' and expands the recognition range by integrating Google Gemini. The recognized ingredient information is linked with 'AI Food Manager' and used for inventory management and recipe recommendations. It also supports 'Video to Recipe,' which converts video content into recipes, and 'Voice ID,' which distinguishes user voices.

The 'Bespoke Slide-in Induction Range,' designed to reflect the characteristics of the North American market, offers 'SmartThings Food,' which suggests recipes and automatically sets cooking values via a 7-inch screen. Also on display were an OTR microwave oven equipped with a humidity sensor and a wall oven featuring an internal camera-based 'AI Pro Cooking' function. The 'Bespoke AI Vent Combo' washer-dryer, featuring a vent drying method, is designed to wash and dry 4.5 kg of laundry in just 68 minutes according to internal test standards.

In the Dacor zone, built-in displays emphasizing unity with the kitchen interior caught the eye. A single-door column-type refrigerator and freezer, a combi wall oven, and a dishwasher featuring StormWash+ and an auto-release door function were introduced. The wine cellar allows for setting three independent compartments between 4 and 18°C, and the wine dispenser is designed to maintain freshness for up to 60 days using argon gas.

At the entrance of the exhibition hall, an interactive program was operated where visitors' faces were sketched and provided as stickers. The brand message was conveyed in a way that the exhibition theme was completed when the stickers were attached to the exhibition wall.

Lee Sang-jik, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ DA Business Division, stated, “We will strengthen our local market penetration with products equipped with features and performance specialized for the U.S. market.” Samsung Electronics plans to expand its presence in the North American premium home appliance market through a product lineup that combines AI-based personalized features with premium design.
