Connecting everything from AI-based video production to shopping mall exposure and purchase conversion… Strengthening the competitiveness of short-form-centric e-commerce
Catenoid will integrate the short-form video platform 'Charlla' and the AI video production platform 'VIIMstudio.ai' within the year to build a structure that connects everything from AI-based video production to shopping mall purchase conversion.
On March 3, Catenoid (CEO Kim Hyung-seok) announced that it is entering into a collaboration with Beam Studio with the goal of integrating its short-form platform, Chalna, with Beam Studio's services. The company explained that the core objective is to establish a foundation for directly applying AI content creation technology to practical e-commerce operations.
Beam Studio is a generative AI-based B2B video production platform operated by Viceversa. It enables the production of short-form videos applicable to various industries such as fashion, beauty, and food, and is characterized by the ability to generate content using AI without the need for separate studio rentals or model casting. Through this, brands can secure marketing videos starting from the product planning stage.
This collaboration focuses on combining Beam Studio's video production capabilities with Chalna's publishing and purchase conversion optimization capabilities. Brands can produce AI videos in an integrated environment and immediately upload them to shopping malls, allowing consumers to experience a flow that leads directly to a purchase after watching the video. Both companies plan to implement a short-form commerce environment that integrates this 'production-exposure-purchase' structure.
A Viceversa official stated that this collaboration marks an example of AI video production technology expanding into a commerce infrastructure that connects to actual sales. Kim Hyung-seok, CEO of Catenoid, noted that while short-form content has established itself as a core tool in e-commerce, the barriers to entry for video production remain high, and expressed his intention to increase brands' marketing accessibility through the expansion of AI partnerships.
