Nota, an AI lightweighting and optimization technology company, continued its business expansion by recording significant revenue growth in the first quarter of 2026. An increase in order backlog and the expansion of application areas are expected to impact future performance.

Nota announced on the 18th that it recorded consolidated revenue of 3.58 billion won in the first quarter of 2026. This represents an increase of approximately 53.6 times compared to about 67 million won in the same period last year. During the same period, operating losses decreased by about 180 million won, and net losses decreased by about 1.61 billion won.

By business segment, the solution division drove the increase in performance. In the first quarter, solution revenue was 2.71 billion won, accounting for approximately 76% of the total, while platform revenue was recorded at 870 million won.

In particular, adoption has expanded across various fields such as industrial safety, transportation, and security, centered on the generative AI-based video surveillance solution 'NVA (Nota Vision Agent).' The company explained that the solution provides situational awareness and anomaly detection capabilities within video footage.

Nota announced that starting this year, it is applying progress-based accounting to new solution contracts to reflect performance generated during the business execution process in its financial statements.

Platform businesses are characterized by a revenue recognition structure that reflects future performance. As of the first quarter, Nota secured an order backlog totaling 12.1 billion won. Of this, the platform order backlog was 10.2 billion won, accounting for approximately 84% of the total.

The platform 'NetsPresso' features a revenue recognition structure that accrues sequentially over the contract period, which is expected to influence the formation of a stable revenue base in the future.

Nota stated that it has applied its technology in various environments, including mobile, semiconductor IP, data centers, and edge AI. Through collaborations with companies such as Samsung Electronics and Arm, it is expanding its AI model optimization technology to various device domains, and recently broadened its scope of application to the cloud infrastructure sector.

The company believes that this expansion will contribute to reducing dependence on specific customers or environments and building a diverse platform-based business structure.

Nota stated that as the AI market shifts from a learning-centric to an inference-centric approach, the demand for lightweight and optimization technologies is increasing, and the company plans to expand the application of its technology to on-device AI, data centers, and physical AI fields.
