NVIDIA and LG Group Collaborate Across Physical AI, Autonomous Driving, and Data Centers

NVIDIA and LG Group are embarking on a collaboration across AI data centers and physical AI. The core of the partnership is to promote the establishment of AI-based systems in various business areas, including robotics, mobility, and data center infrastructure.

NVIDIA and LG Group announced on the 9th that they are pursuing cooperation to build an AI factory and expand next-generation AI-based businesses.

The two companies are pursuing the implementation of Physical AI by combining NVIDIA's full-stack AI platform with LG Group's manufacturing and robotics capabilities.

LG CNS plans to expand the application of AI in the areas of manufacturing and logistics automation by integrating NVIDIA robotics technology into its platform.

The two companies are also collaborating on building an AI factory based on the NVIDIA DSX platform. DSX is an AI infrastructure platform that encompasses everything from chips to data center operations.

LG Electronics is participating in the construction of AI factory infrastructure based on data center cooling systems and modular design technology.

LG Uplus and LG Energy Solution are pursuing the construction of DSX-based data centers and the development of power solutions.

This cooperation includes the construction of GPU-based data centers, power and cooling systems, and communication infrastructure.

In the mobility sector, collaboration based on the NVIDIA DRIVE platform is underway. LG Electronics is optimizing ADAS and automotive AI systems for the platform.

In addition, the development of technologies related to in-vehicle AI processing and software-defined vehicles (SDVs) is also being promoted.

LG Innotek plans to expand the development of components for autonomous driving based on sensing and connectivity technologies.

LG AI Research Institute and NVIDIA are also collaborating on the advancement of the AI model 'EXAONE'.

NVIDIA GPUs, the NeMo framework, and the Nemotron dataset are utilized in this process.

LG Group is reviewing the expansion of enterprise AI services based on this model and plans to expand the overall application of AI within the group.

This collaboration will be pursued with a structure that integrates various areas such as manufacturing, mobility, data centers, and AI models. Both companies plan to expand their cooperation to include not only the construction of AI infrastructure but also actual industrial applications.
