Identifying joint global transportation infrastructure projects centered on the Americas
Nota (CEO Chae Myung-soo), a company specializing in AI model lightweighting and optimization technology, is partnering with LG CNS to target the overseas Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) market.

Nota announced on the 23rd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LG CNS for the commercialization of AI-based real-time ITS technology. The two companies agreed to expand the scope of cooperation to include joint marketing, field verification, development, and business development and implementation.

In particular, we plan to identify specific project opportunities where AI-based ITS technology can be applied, targeting the Americas as a major market.

Nota is implementing ITS technology that enables real-time video analysis even in edge environments.

Through the Generative Vision Language Model (VLM)-based video surveillance solution 'NVA (Nota Vision Agent)', it recognizes on-site situations and provides traffic control functions such as traffic flow analysis, detection of sudden situations, and recognition of pedestrian and vehicle risks.

The company explained that it improved real-time performance and operational efficiency by reducing reliance on the cloud.

ITS is considered a representative application field of physical AI, as AI identifies risk factors in actual roads and urban infrastructure and supports control and operational decision-making.

LG CNS has been pursuing ITS projects in the global smart city market, centering on its Integrated Operations Center (IOC), which analyzes and predicts traffic flow throughout the entire city.

The two companies plan to jointly address the demand for the digital transformation of transportation infrastructure and the advancement of AI-based traffic management by combining Nota's ITS technology with LG CNS's proprietary AI smart city platform.

The cooperation between the two companies has already materialized through the ITS implementation project in Nairobi, Kenya.

Nota participated in the Nairobi Traffic Control Center construction project led by LG CNS last year and implemented an AI-lightweight and optimization-based smart intersection system tailored for the edge environment.

Chae Myeong-su, CEO of Nota, said, “This agreement is an opportunity for Nota’s AI lightweighting and optimization technology to combine with LG CNS, which possesses global ITS business capabilities, to expand into larger markets,” adding, “Based on the technology and business capabilities of both companies, we will create AI-based intelligent transportation system solutions that can be utilized in the field.”
