Hanyang University provides AI education 'Deep Learning Institute'
Also at the NVIDIA AI Conference on November 8th
Same program to be held Nvidia announced on the 12th that it had signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement with Hanyang University to train AI experts.

(From left) Vice President Choi Deok-gyun of Hanyang University and Nvidia Korea CEO Yoo Eung-jun are holding a signing ceremony. NVIDIA operates the Deep Learning Institute (DLI) program for Hanyang University students with the goal of expanding the base of AI development, one of the core technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and providing practical AI education. Accordingly, the NVIDIA DLI curriculum will be held in the form of special lectures at Hanyang University every semester.
NVIDIA's DLI is an AI education program in which deep learning experts certified by NVIDIA headquarters participate as instructors. It aims to vitalize AI research and the ecosystem by providing free deep learning software, libraries, and tools to developers, IT professionals, and students around the world, and sharing the latest information on AI and deep learning technologies.
With this collaboration, Hanyang University successfully completed the first DLI workshop over two days from October 6th. On the first day of the workshop, which was held under the theme of ‘Deep Learning Fundamentals for Computer Vision’, students had time to learn the deep learning process for image recognition using deep learning directly with numerical data. After the training, a two-day hackathon was held to select the team with the highest accuracy in image recognition using deep learning with a designated data set. For this hackathon, NVIDIA’s partner AZWELLPLUS provided DGX-1 servers to help students try out various research methods.

Nvidia is conducting a DLI program for Hanyang University students. In addition to computer vision majors, students from various departments such as business administration, medicine, and physics participated in this workshop to learn about the basics of AI and deep learning, and to learn about the practical learning and use of deep learning by directly processing data. After completing the course, students were able to obtain comprehensive knowledge from the concept of deep learning to network design and deployment, and after completing the course, they also received an official certificate from the Deep Learning Institute issued worldwide by NVIDIA.
NVIDIA continues to make various efforts to cultivate AI experts. As part of this, NVIDIA plans to hold a DLI program consisting of a total of four courses: ▲Deep Learning Fundamentals for Computer Vision ▲Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing using CUDA C/C++ ▲Deep Learning Fundamentals for Various Data Types ▲Deep Learning Concepts for Autonomous Vehicles at the 'NVIDIA AI Conference 2018' on November 8.
First, ▲ Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Computer Vision covers the basic theory of deep learning and the fundamentals of deep learning by training real-world data with neural networks. ▲ Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing using CUDA C/C++ introduces parallel acceleration of CPU-only programs using CUDA C/C++ and optimization work methods during the development of CUDA parallel programs. ▲ Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Various Data Types practices how to combine CNNs and RNNs to generate effective descriptions of the content of images and video clips. ▲ Deep Learning Concepts for Autonomous Vehicles covers how to design, train, and deploy deep neural networks for autonomous vehicles using the NVIDIA DRIVE PX development platform.
